Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

Plastic Factory LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information. We keep things simple: we collect as little data as possible and never sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

When you purchase a product, join a waitlist, or contact support, you may provide us with:

  • Email address
  • Name
  • Payment information (processed by Paddle or Apple; we do not store payment card details)
  • Support correspondence

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we may collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring URL
  • Device type and operating system
  • Advertising click identifiers (e.g. fbclid from Meta/Instagram ads), stored as a first-party cookie (_fbc)

Information from our apps

Plastic Factory instruments are designed to work entirely on-device. Our apps do not collect personal data, do not require an account, and do not transmit your audio, presets, or usage patterns to our servers. If you opt into crash reporting, anonymous diagnostic data may be sent to Apple as part of their standard crash reporting service.

3. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate our business:

  • Paddle: Payment processing, invoicing, and sales tax compliance. Paddle acts as our Merchant of Record.
  • Apple: App Store distribution and in-app purchases.
  • Analytics: We use Plausible Analytics (plausible.io) to count page views in aggregate. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram): We use Meta’s Conversions API to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. We do not run the Meta Pixel or any other Meta browser script on this site. When you complete a purchase, our server sends Meta a hashed (one-way SHA-256, not reversible) version of your email address along with order details (purchase value, transaction ID, and the ad click ID if you arrived via a Meta ad). Meta uses this to attribute purchases to ads and improve ad delivery. Meta’s data practices are governed by the Meta Privacy Policy. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from Meta at facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Cookies

We keep cookie use to a minimum. Our website uses:

  • Essential cookies: Required for basic functionality, such as remembering your session during checkout. These cannot be disabled.
  • Advertising attribution cookie (_fbc): Only set if you arrive via a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad link. We store the ad click identifier in a first-party cookie named _fbc, used solely to attribute a later purchase to the ad that brought you here. It expires after 90 days. Ordinary visitors who don’t arrive via an ad link never receive this cookie.

We do not set any third-party or advertising-network cookies, and we do not run the Meta Pixel or any other third-party tracking script on this site. Purchase attribution to Meta is performed entirely server-side, via Conversions API, using a hashed email address and order details — see Section 3 above.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Purchase records are retained as required for accounting and tax compliance. Support correspondence is retained for up to 2 years after the last interaction. Waitlist emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Hashed purchase data sent to Meta via Conversions API is subject to Meta’s retention policies.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority

We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern directly. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@plasticfactory.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. International Transfers

If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States where our servers are located. Purchase attribution data sent to Meta may also be processed in any country where Meta operates. We take appropriate measures to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

8. Children's Privacy

Plastic Factory products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling based on your personal data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated through our website or via email.
